Tottenham Hotspur target Jarrad Branthwaite has made a big decision on his future after being told by Thomas Tuchel what he needs to do to get into the England squad, but Spurs will find it very difficult to win the race for the Everton centre-back.
Even though Ange Postecoglou added Kevin Danso to his squad in January, Tottenham are still thought to be on the lookout for a new centre-back this summer.
That could be down to the uncertainty over the future of one key man, with reports indicating that Cristain Romero may leave Spurs at the end of the season.
It has been suggested by various outlets over recent weeks that Tottenham are plotting an ambitious move for Jarrad Branthwaite in the summer, even though the player is valued at £70m.
A fresh report has now shed light on the centre-back’s transfer plans and the competition Spurs will face for the Englishman.

Jarrad Branthwaite makes transfer decision after Thomas Tuchel conversation
The Daily Mail have now revealed that the 22-year-old, who was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, is now open to leaving Goodison Park at the end of the season.
It is explained that Tuchel told the defender that his lack of experience playing in Europe is one of the reasons he was left out.

As a result, the centre-back is ready to make a step up to a bigger club this summer, and it is asserted that he will put Champions League football at the top of his priority list when finalising his next move.
That means that Tottenham would have to win the Europa League to have a chance of signing the Everton academy graduate.

The Mail have also credited Man United with a keen interest in the 22-year-old defender, revealing that they have been fans of the player for a long time.
In fact, the Red Devils allegedly had a £50m offer for Branthwaite turned down last summer, and it is revealed that they are also considering other alternatives ahead of the summer.
The publication adds that Liverpool and Manchester City are also fans of the Toffees defender and are keeping a close eye on his situation.
