Nuggets Star Opens Up About Playing Through Injury as NBA Season Winds Down

The Denver Nuggets have had a tough journey to finishing up the 2024-25 NBA regular season. Players have dealt with a lot of injuries, hopping in and out of the lineup in the process. That has amounted to inconsistent results in the win-loss column for them.

Wednesday night had the Nuggets on the right side of things, winning a decisive 127-117 ball game over the Milwaukee Bucks. As has often been the case, Nikola Jokic was the catalyst for the win. The Nuggets superstar posted a triple-double, notching 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Another strong performance that was crucial to the win came from Michael Porter Jr. The sharpshooting forward recorded 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three steals to support Jokic in leading the Nuggets.

Porter has been one of the players for Denver who has been dealing with his fair share of injuries throughout this campaign. The Nuggets star opened up about having to play through those moments.

**"I think during the stretch that certain guys have been out there has (0:04) definitely been games where I probably should not have played due to just little hamstring tightness or an ankle. ... I think it's important that if you can be out there to try to be out there.

I think I've some of those games I did struggle a little bit, not being 100 percent, but I think it's important just to when you can play, play. Everyone's banged up at this point of season, and it's our job to take care of our bodies. I'm looking forward to this three day off, three days off and feel really good going to the** playoffs."
