Five clubs from across the Premier League and Germany are keeping tabs on the availability of Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey, according to reports.

The Jamaican international has fallen down the pecking order at Villa Park as manager Unai Emery has opted to play the in-form Marco Asensio instead. Bailey has only featured in 23 top flight games this season, scoring once and providing two assists.

They are figures that are night and day compared to last term when Bailey scored 10 times and had nine assists in 35 appearances. Despite the drop in form, however, interest remains in his services.

TBR Football reports that one of the clubs interested in signing Bailey is Villa's Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur. It is claimed Ange Postecoglou's side admired the former Bayer Leverkusen forward before he made the £30m switch to the Villans in 2021.

Ruben Amorim's Manchester United are also said to be keeping tabs on the player.

A return to Germany could also be on the cards, with the 28-year-old still well respected there. Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt all reportedly showed an interest in signing him in the summer.

However, prizing Bailey away from Villa will not come without a hefty price tag. The attacker only signed a contract extension at the club last February.
