Titans Make Announcement on Change to Home Games for 2025 Season

Everybody loves baby blue when it's in the form of an NFL jersey. The Tennessee Titans used to be synonymous with the color when they were the Houston Oilers but embraced more of a navy blue color scheme when they moved the franchise.

The Los Angeles Chargers realized years ago that baby blue simply looks better than navy and the Titans are catching up. The team announced on Thursday that during home games for the 2025 season, they will be wearing their "Titans Blue" uniforms which is a much lighter shade of blue than their standard home jerseys from years past.

"Steve (McNair) and Eddie (George), they came in the locker room and looked at that jersey and they were like, 'Wow.' It was something different," Director, Equipment Operations for the Titans Joey Barranco said in a statement. "They'd worn the two-tone blue before, but it was now reversed, and more light blue. It just popped, and they loved it.

"The players now, they still love it."

It's a surprise it took this long for the Titans to make the change. Tennessee also revealed that they will not be wearing their throwback Oilers uniforms this season. It's unclear if the plan is for this to be a permanent change or something they're trying out for one season.
