Not that they were ever in any real danger, but Brian Sorensen and his Everton players were able to breath a big sigh of relief on Saturday. The Blues were able to dispatch Crystal Palace, who are bottom of the Women's Super League, 3-0 at Walton Hall Park and in doing so erased any lingering fears over relegation.
Justine Vanhaevermaet, Sara Holmgaard and Kelly Gago were on the scoresheet, with a win propelling the team up into seventh place.

Holmgaard reflects on stellar display
It was an excellent team performance from the Blues on Saturday, but Holmgaard was undoubtedly the star of the show. She set up the first and third Everton goals either side of her own strike.
"It was a massive performance from the whole team today," she said. "In the first half, we needed to find a wide way to get the chances in. But in the second half we showed how good we are as a team with three difference goalscorers. So it was amazing today.

However, he was well aware of the challenge United will pose. They sit third in the WSL standings, only behind Arsenal on goal difference.
Sorensen said: "United have done really well. They have a great team so I am not surprised. Defensively, they have been really good. Lately, offensively, they have been even more dynamic and created more chances.
"Earlier on in the season, in the reverse game, we should have got something out of it. It feels like years ago with the squad we have now. We feel more prepared to take the teams above us on and also with different solutions."
Emotional day for Madsen
It was an extra special day for one member of the Everton squad on Saturday.
Rikke Madsen made her first appearance for a year after giving birth. Her young daughter Frida was in attendance to see the comeback and then after the full-time whistle, Madsen's partner entered the pitch and proposed.

"I did not expect that," she said. "Let me say it like that, I can't even talk. That was crazy, very nice and surprising. I hate surprises, but this one was a good one!"
