'Best in the world': Agent of unnamed Chelsea player praises Todd Boehly’s Stamford Bridge project

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has come under criticism from all corners for the plan he is looking to carry out at Stamford Bridge.

Blues fans protested Boehly and co outside of the stadium ahead of the recent Premier League game against Southampton, although some were questioning whether the reasoning behind their concerns was wide of the mark.

A common theme that cropped up was a desire to hang back on the process of signing the top young players in world football, and instead look to bring in individuals who will instantly strengthen the first team squad.

A lot of criticism has been thrown at the most recent summer transfer window, where additions such as Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jadon Sancho may not even be at the club when the next Premier League season gets underway.

Some have worked out to be more successful though, and Chelsea can certainly already boast an exciting future with the caliber of player who are already playing regularly for them.

Chelsea player’s agent describes Todd Boehly project as ‘best in the world’

It seems this opinion is shared by those close to the players too. The agent of an unnamed Chelsea player waxed lyrical about the project that is being undertaken in West London under Boehly, describing it as ‘the best in the world’.

They told the Mail Online: “They are showing their long-term project. It’s the best in the world. When you currently have the best young players, and you are signing the best of the best in promising players, you just can succeed.”

While few are seen as untouchable, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer are amongst those who are recognised amongst the best in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s exciting future under Todd Boehly’s reign

Boehly will respond to criticism of the youth-led project with some of the names he has already brought in to the club, many being primed to make their mark on the first team as soon as next season.

The highlight addition up to now has been Estevao Willian, who will be a part of Enzo Maresca’s first team squad for the upcoming campaign.

Estevao was behind only Lamine Yamal on a list of the most promising youngsters, which also has a number of other youngsters who have been brought to Stamford Bridge.

Geovany Quenda and Kendry Paez also feature, with the former’s deal being agreed already amid interest from the likes of Manchester United.
