Fresh reports from The Guardian have now revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have been tracking Sunderland’s Chris Rigg.
The 17-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in the Championship and has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs.
He has scored four goals in 36 appearances this season and is known for his energy and aggression on the ball, making him a highly-rated talent at Sunderland.

Spurs are not the only Premier League club interested, as West Ham are also said to be lining up a move for the young midfielder.
Graham Potter is reportedly keen to freshen up his midfield, and discussions have been held internally over a possible move for Rigg.

Chris Rigg is not the only Sunderland player Spurs have shown interest in ahead of the summer window.
The Lilywhites have also been linked with his teammate Jobe Bellingham. Just a few days ago, Bellingham’s price tag was revealed to be in the region of £20 million, which signals that Sunderland are looking to command significant fees for their young talents.
If the Black Cats are valuing Bellingham at such a figure, it’s fair to assume that Rigg will not come cheap either. His price could rise even further if Sunderland secure promotion to the Premier League, adding another layer of complexity to any potential transfer deal.
