Manchester United could be set to deal a major blow to West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
West Ham and Manchester United will both be very busy in the transfer market this summer.
Graham Potter and Ruben Amorim both need to make huge changes to their current squads at the London Stadium and Old Trafford respectively.
The Hammers head coach is said to be very keen to completely transform his unbalanced and ageing group of players.

Central defence is definitely an area where Potter needs to improve.
And the same can be said of Amorim at Old Trafford.
That’s why Man United could be such a big problem for us this summer.
Manchester United move to sign West Ham target Omar Soler
The Hammers seemingly face huge competition from Man United for the signing of Omar Solet this summer.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Incredibly, West Ham target Omar Solet had his contract terminated with RB Salzburg by mutual agreement back in the summer of 2024.
He was very close to joining West Ham then, but Udinese picked him up on a free transfer in the end.
And now, the Hammers are back in for him again.
But the bad news is that Manchester United want to sign the 6ft 4in colossus as well, according to a report from Messaggero Veneto.
Man United’s interest in signing the former RB Salzburg man is far from ideal for West Ham.

The 25-year-old powerhouse defender would be a fabulous addition to the Hammers’ ranks this summer, especially with Potter’s penchant for playing three central defenders.
Omar Solet a class above and he’d transform West Ham
Solet is a superb central defender, and he’d provide perfect cover and competition for Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo in the heart of West Ham’s back-line.
The Frenchman is incredibly dominant in the air, possesses impressive pace along the ground and is a very proficient man marker.
Crucially, Solet possesses real physicality, and is perfectly built for Premier League football, what with its robust and intense nature.
His positional awareness is absolutely spot on as well.
It all seems like a moot point now though.
West Ham may well find it impossible to beat Manchester United to the signing of Omar Solet this summer.
