Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has faced plenty of opposition from fans following his cost-cutting measures at Old Trafford.
The Premier League side confirmed last week the majority of their season ticket prices will increase by about 5 per cent for next season after they were previously frozen for 11 years up until 2022.
Although there will be a prize freeze for under-16s tickets, Man United have faced criticism after halving the 50 per cent discount for senior citizens to 25 per cent.
Newcastle United and Arsenal have revealed their season ticket prices will also rise by up to 5 per cent, while Liverpool, Tottenham, West Ham and Brentford have frozen their prices for 2025-26.
Football Insider revealed on 19 March Man United’s ticket prices will skyrocket by the time they move into their new stadium, which is expected to take at least five years to build and cost £2billion.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the five per cent increase in season ticket prices is reasonable following the rise in inflation.

United will also move fans from their seats behind the dugouts to turn them into a lucrative VIP hospitality area for next season.
Borson previously told Football Insider Man United want to match Man City and Chelsea after deciding to add dugout seats.

Man United and Man City could face new ticket issue
Borson insisted Man United, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham could face an issue filling their stadiums if they continue to increase their ticket prices despite struggling on the pitch.
He told Football Insider: “The 5 per cent increase is sort of standard.
“I think as much as fans won’t like to hear it, 5 per cent is reasonable in an environment where we have inflation at the levels that we have.
“I don’t think clubs will expect to be either immune from the cost side of things and they’re definitely unable to put their prices up in line with inflation, so I think that will be the starting point for most clubs.
“The clubs that aren’t putting their prices up, I can assure you it’s not because they don’t want to put their prices up.
“Either they’re in a situation where they have a very wealthy owner who just doesn’t want the fight, wants to reward loyalty, or they have concerns about supply and demand.
“I do think that the clubs at the top of the table who are not succeeding at the moment, and that really includes City, United, Chelsea and Spurs, are all going to have issues with empty seats if they continue to move the prices up in the way that they have.”
