Robbie Savage faces a long journey ahead, if he is to continue his race for life back in the EFL. He retired as a player in 2011, at the age of 36. When leaving the game as a player he had a special reputation.
The fans of the teams he played for loved him. However, his methods and hard style often annoyed the opposition’s. Savage is now the manager of Macclesfield FC. He has taken them to a special promotion in his short period in charge. Surely, he knows his business.
He is very much involved in the Macclesfield FC movement. Next season, they will play in the 6th tier of English football. There are still a number of games left in the season, but with a 20 points gap, promotion is secured. He looks to be eager to climb with The Silkmen. A few years ago, he looked far from becoming involved in football management. He was contracted to several TV and media channels for football reporting.
Robbie Savage played for Leicester between 1997 and 2002. He reached 172 appearances for Leicester before moving to Birmingham. He is also a former Wales international with 39 caps in total.

He gets all kinds of comments, abused at most away games, people were desperate to see him fail, but he has smashed this season out of the park.

His love for the game is well known. From his days at Leicester, we all loved him for his commitment. His hard work mentality was evident. He always gave his everything to get a result. He got a free transfer from MU. Then he joined Crewe. From there, Martin O’Neill bought him to Leicester for a fee of £400.000.
Will be interesting to follow Robbie Savage on his journey in management. It can end were you possibly would not have expecting him to be. You never know with this man, he likes to surprise us.
