Deion Sanders officially changed his tune when it comes to potential NFL Draft suitors for his son, Shedeur Sanders. He is not going to “pull and Eli” after all. It was much ado about nothing.
All five of the teams that are primarily linked to the former Jackson State and Colorado quarterback are Prime approved.
Although there is still a lot of time between now and the end of April, Shedeur is currently projected to be the second signal-caller to hear his name called at the NFL Draft. Jaxson Dart may slip in ahead of him but probably not. Cam Ward is going first (not necessarily first overall) and the youngest Sanders brother is likely going second.
Possible destinations for Shedeur Sanders include the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants. His dad wants him to end up in the Big Apple.

However, the Pro Football Hall of Famer is NOT going to prevent his son from playing wherever he is drafted, as he previously suggest. Deion Sanders said around this time last year that he was going to have the final say on where Shedeur was going to end up. He threatened to “pull an Eli” by simply refusing to play for a team that he does not like, which would in turn force a trade.
That is no longer the case. Deion acknowledged that Shedeur has a preferred landing spot during an interview with Skip Bayless but did not say where.
The 57-year-old downplayed the idea that he previously suggested. There will not be any kind of refusal and/or block before, during or after the NFL Draft. Deion wants Shedeur to go where he wants to go but the family understands that it is out of their control… even though technically speaking, it isn’t!
If it’s New York, it’s New York. If it’s Tennessee, if it’s Cleveland, if it’s still the Raiders, if it’s New Orleans, if it’s any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I’m happy with it. Because I know what he’s gonna do to the organization.

Coach Prime is also open to the idea that his son could play for the Dallas Cowboys. There is a connection there with Jerry Jones so it is not out of the picture.
With that being said, the Sanders camp does not think Shedeur will drop out of the Top 10. We’ll see. Regardless of where he ends up, that is where he will end up. No shenanigans!
