The FIFA international break is over, and club football is back, bringing the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals into focus.
Paris Saint-Germain will face Aston Villa for a spot in the semifinals. PSG just triumphed over Liverpool in a dramatic Round of 16 that was decided by a penalty shootout.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, comfortably dispatched Club Brugge with a 6-1 aggregate win. The Premier League side will likely be extra motivated to face PSG, with Unai Emery and Marco Asensio both seeking some payback against the Parisians.

While the Aston Villa-PSG clash will see Unai Emery and Marco Asensio return to the French capital, but another storyline is Emiliano Martínez playing in France again.
Martínez played against Lille last season in the UEFA Europa League and wasn’t warmly welcomed. Now, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, which Argentina won over France, will play in the country’s capital, with the first leg being at the Parc des Princes.
“It’s going to be spicy, but we get strong at home, we’ve only lost one match all year,” Martínez said. “Away it’s a bit tougher for us, but it’s knockout and anything can happen.”
