NFL Draft Expert Views Sheduer Sanders and Jaxon Dart on Same Level

As the NFL draft gets closer, things are starting to heat up, especially when it comes to the quarterback position. While there are plenty of polarizing players in this year's draft, none are anywhere close to the level of Sheduer Sanders.

As a successful quarterback at Colorado while playing under his famous dad Deion Sanders, the opinions on the young QB are extremely mixed. Some view him as the top quarterback in the class, while others don't think he is a first-round talent.

One of the most experienced draft experts in the industry, Todd McShay, seems to be somewhere in the middle, indicating he likes Sanders, but also really likes the expected third quarterback off the board in Jaxon Dart.

In the latest episode of his podcast, he did a dive on the quarterback position, putting them into tiers. None of the quarterbacks made his top tier, designated for clear All-Pro potential players.

Consensus top QB Cam Ward was alone in the second tier, designated for potential high-end starters.

In the third tier, McShay had both Sanders and Dart, which means he views them as potential values late in the first round.

In what is surely a weaker quarterback class than last year (McShay had the top three in the first tier last year), there are still a lot of question marks and discussions about where they should go in the draft.

What these rankings seem to indicate is that Ward is at least somewhat worthy of the first overall pick, but where Sanders and Dart go is less clear. Based on the need at the position, it seems Sanders will at least go second or third to the Cleveland Browns or the New York Giants.

For Dart, he could go anywhere in the first round, or even in the second, based on mock drafts. However, if Dart is on the same level as Sanders, a case can easily be made he should go in the top three as well.

Even though no quarterback seems like a clear-cut elite potential guy, it seems entirely possible that the top three teams in the draft, who all need a quarterback, could simply take the best one available.

With how volatile the quarterback position seems to be in this year's draft, it is interesting to hear them put into tiers by well-respected draft expert. That makes their potential draft slots and landing spots that much more enticing when draft night finally arrives.
