Breaking: Packers Host Extremely Intriguing Prospect On Top 30 Visit

The Green Bay Packers are working on taking their roster from playoff caliber to Super Bowl caliber. Making the playoffs two years in a row with Jordan Love under center is no small feat. Especially after trading away one of the best quarterbacks to ever do it.

However, many analysts feel like this team is a few pieces away from reaching that next level. One of those pieces may have just met with the team.

Green Bay Packers’ cornerback position faces uncertainty in the months leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft. Trade negotiations have been underway with Green Bay regarding their oft-injured Pro Bowler Jaire Alexander. In spite of no trade partner being found, the Packers are expected to move on from him one way or another. That lead to a very intriguing top-30 visit for the team:

According to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated, the Packers are hosting East Carolina’s standout cornerback, Shavon Revel, on a Top-30 visit. Revel is one of the most intriguing prospects at the position because he dominated the competition, though he played for a Group of Five (G5) school rather than a Power Four (P4) program.

After beginning his junior college career with the Louisburg Hurricanes, Shavon Revel transferred to the East Carolina Pirates for the 2022 season. Revel had a great tenure with East Carolina, recording 70 tackles, five TFLs, three interceptions, one pick-six, and 15 pass deflections in 24 games. His accolades include being named Second-Team All-AAC.

Revel had a great start to the 2024 season and was gaining recognition as one of the top cornerbacks in the upcoming draft. He recorded eight tackles, two interceptions, one pick-six, and two pass deflections in three games, allowing eight receptions on 21 targets for 195 yards, one touchdown, and a staggering 48.8 passer rating, per PFF. Unfortunately, a devastating injury cut short his season.

He suffered a torn left ACL in the middle of September during Wednesday’s practice, described as a freak injury. The good news is that he is expected to be fully cleared during training camp.
