Manchester United can sign Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio for a huge discount during the summer transfer window, as per A Bola.
The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the Portugal international and they have been linked with his services for the last three years.
Inacio's £50m release clause has been a deal breaker in the past, but Sporting are now prepared to accept around £38m for his services this summer.
The 23-year-old would be a quality signing to provide cover for Lisandro Martinez, who has been sidelined with a serious knee ligament issue.
Inacio played for four years under manager Ruben Amorim and the latter could be tempted to reunite with the versatile central defender.
The Portuguese can play on the left, right or in the middle of the back three. His versatility could make him a regular starter for United.
Liverpool have also been linked with him in the past and could enter the race if Virgil van Dijk leaves on a free transfer agreement.
