Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama to Undergo Surgery, Status For 2025 EuroBasket Remains Unknown

San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama could be back on the court this summer.

French sports journalist Maxime Aubin reported that Wembanyama is expected to undergo surgery after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.

Additionally, French national team coach Frédéric Fauthoux confirmed the news, expressing optimism that Wembanyama will be available for the 2025 EuroBasket tournament this summer. "He's motivated to be part of the team," Fauthoux stated.

Wembanyama was ruled out for the season in February due to a blood clot in his right shoulder. However, it appears that he is on track to be back on the court soon.
