The jury is still out on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the jury will be rendering a verdict in the NFL Draft next month.
Some people have Sanders to go boom, while some people have him going bust.
One of the people in his corner is ESPN's NFL analyst Matt Miller. He compared Sanders to Detroit Lions' Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff, while making a guest appearance on "NFL Live."
"Shedeur, it's the play from the pocket, it's the surgical accuracy, the ability to see the field. I see Jared Goff," Miller said.
Miller then went on to further compare the two quarterbacks. He made the distinction Sanders looks like the Goff, the Lions got in a trade with the Rams. He does not resemble the one who was the No. 1 pick from California.
Said Miller, acknowledging that some might see the comp as unusual: "I'm a Jared Goff fan. A lot of people are going to see this and be like, ‘Really?' Jared Goff has been playing great football since he got to Detroit, if folks haven't noticed what he's done with the Lions up there. But the pocket toughness, the ability to just stand in there."
Miller also noted that Sanders shared Goff's ability to take a hit and continue to deliver an accurate ball to his receivers. Sanders proved he could take a hit while at Colorado as his make shift line could never protect him.

In a game against UCLA his junior season, Sanders had to be shot up at halftime to go back into the game.
Miller went on to call Sanders the most accurate passer in the draft. There is a guy in Coral Gables, named Cam Ward, who would like to challenge that assertion.
"And he throws his guys open. He is the most accurate quarterback in this draft class," Miller added.
