Manchester United travel to The City Ground to face Nottingham Forest when the Premier League returns at the start of April.
The Red Devils have endured a dismal season so far under the stewardship of previous head coach Erik ten Hag and current boss Ruben Amorim.
At present United sit 13th in the Premier League table, having won just ten of their 29 games in the competition so far.
Amorim will be well aware that his side’s best chance of securing football next term would be by winning the Europa League, where they face French side Lyon in the quarter-finals.
Captain Bruno Fernandes has been one of United’s rare impressive performers this term, netting 16 times and providing 15 assists across all competitions.
Amorim will be keen to ensure that the Portuguese stays put at Old Trafford beyond this summer, but it appears that those in charge of the club are willing to sell another of United’s stars.
According to GiveMeSport, the Manchester outfit are prepared to sell winger Alejandro Garnacho if their valuation of the player is met this summer.
Garnacho could be made available for sale this summer
Garnacho, 20, joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has since established himself as an important player in the first team at Old Trafford.
The Argentine has scored 24 goals and registered 17 assists in 131 games for United, but the report claims that Amorim and those in charge of the club are prepared to allow him to leave if a suitable offer is received this summer.
Italian side Napoli attempted to sign the winger during the recent January transfer window, but United reiterated that they value the player at £70 million and weren’t willing to budge.
The report claims that United are waiting to gauge the level of interest in the young forward, but the club are willing to listen to fresh offers this summer.
Garnacho – who is under contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2027/28 campaign – has scored four times in the Premier League this season, making him United’s third highest scorer in the competition.
