Flick shares Olmo update as Barca star looks set to miss crunch games

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick is expecting Dani Olmo to miss a couple of weeks after seeing the Spain star forced off in the first half against Osasuna.

Olmo started the game at Montjuic but seemed to pick up some kind of muscular injury and made it clear he could not continue.

The forward was able to walk off the pitch - suggesting it’s not a serious injury - but Flick still expects him to miss the next few games.

“Olmo is injured. In this schedule, two weeks is a lot of games you could miss,” he told the media.

“I’m very proud of my players. The game wasn’t the best day to play it. We paid a heavy price for it with Olmo’s injury.”

Olmo will undergo tests but it looks cerrtain he will miss the weekend’s game against Girona and next week’s Copa del Rey semi-final return leg against Atletico.

Barcelona then go on to face Betis in La Liga and Dortmund in the Champions League, two more games that Olmo may be forced to sit out with his latest injury setback.
