Russell Wilson has officially joined the New York Giants and had nothing but praise for one of his teammates.
Wilson is the third quarterback to join the Giants this offseason. There could also be a fourth. The Giants previously re-signed former starter Tommy DeVito and then signed former Cleveland Browns starter Jameis Winston.
The Giants are also linked to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders who they could take in the draft with the third pick, if he is still available. Chances are the Giants will draft a quarterback for the future, but it might not be Sanders. They might take a quarterback later in the draft.
Wilson was especially excited about having the opportunity to throw to second-year receiver Malik Nabers. He showered the young wideout with praise.
"He's an explosive athlete," Wilson said. "Just his abilities to make plays, I love Malik man. Just watching him and his personality on the field, his demeanor."
Wilson continued to praise the former LSU star and even addressed some particular plays he noticed on film.

"Those kinds of things is what championship football looks like and obviously listen, he catches this screen against the Colts and takes 70 yards, 80 yards, that's pretty special," he said. "There's only so many human being in the world that can do that, and he's one of them."
Wilson had an above-par year in 2024. He completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only five interceptions. He totaled 155 yards and two scores on the ground as well.
