Superstar Hints At Aaron Rodgers Bad News For Davante Adams Reason

The Pittsburgh Steelers are desperate for a quarterback this offseason, and Aaron Rodgers looms as "the" choice for most, but not Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby.

With the Steelers so far showing all the right indications that Rodgers could be an option, is that the way Mike Tomlin wants to go? With an aging quarterback who many feel has one year left?

That doesn't sound like the right move for a franchise that needs a young, suitable quarterback to build around, not a one-year rental, which we feel Rodgers would be.

Retirement was also floated as an option but that feels like a long shot given that Rodgers has hinted he wants to continue playing in 2025.

But Crosby is skeptical of A-Rod playing next season in Pittsburgh.

"I think he retires," Crosby said, on The Rush. "The fact that I think that he's not with Davante [Adams], he's not very familiar with Pittsburgh. I don't know, I feel like he retires. I can't see him in a Pittsburgh uniform."

It is hard to fathom Rodgers playing with the Steelers, but the franchise needs a quarterback ... and badly.

And in that regard? This stuff is bad news for Pittsburgh, which has made the needed moves to clear out the job for the four-time NFL MVP.

We don't think fans will want to go through another season with questions hanging over the position and having two or three players cycled through the starting role without a clear fix.

Rodgers would be a band-aid for the position and a quick fix for the franchise and given it has taken this long in the offseason and we still don't know where Rodgers will land, we get the feeling that he might not land anywhere, paving the way for A-Rod to retire.
