Lakers Fans React to Josh Giddey News on Thursday

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a nail-biter against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, as they won 120-119 off a buzzer-beater tip-in by LeBron James. Now, they'll face Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Thursday night.

The Bulls are one of the hottest teams in the league, as they're 8-2 in their last 10 games. They're coming off a 129-119 win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday and a 146-115 victory vs. the Lakers on Saturday,

Giddey made NBA history in the latter contest as he became the first player ever to notch 15 points, 17 assists, 10 rebounds, and eight steals in the same game. Chicago made a new announcement regarding the 22-year-old on Thursday.

After being listed as questionable, Giddey (wrist) will play against Los Angeles. Lakers fans had a field day after this news dropped, as they feel like teams usually play their best possible lineups against them.

"Dr. Lakers in the house!" one fan said.

Giddey is averaging 14.1 points on 47 percent shooting with 7.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists this season. The 2021 No. 6 overall pick ranks 11th in assists and 25th in rebounds.

The Lakers (44-28) will play the Memphis Grizzlies on the road Saturday after Thursday's contest and will then return home to face the Houston Rockets on Monday. They're currently tied with Memphis for fourth place in the Western Conference and one game behind the Denver Nuggets.

The Lakers-Bulls matchup tips off at 8:00 PM EST.
