The stage is set for this weekend's celebrations

Drones will be banned from the Town Moor as Newcastle United celebrate their Carabao Cup win.

Thousands of people are set to descend on Newcastle city centre on March 29 to watch the parade make its way from St James’ Park to the Town Moor.

The event at the Moor is due to run from 4-8pm on Saturday, with everyone with a ticket expected to be allowed on site from 1.30pm, ahead of a replay of the final being shown on big screens, a performance from a live band, DJs and of course the team and the trophy on stage, before the night ends with a display from Sela.

It could be tempting for people to take a drone to capture incredible images of the evening, but restrictions have been put in place.

Can you take a drone?

No, a temporary 'No Fly Zone' has been put in place.

What time is the ban in place?

The restriction will start at 9am on March 29 and end at 10pm.

Workers are pushing on to get the Newcastle city centre location ready for Saturday's huge event. Fences were being installed and the stage was being delivered, as the day of the party gets closer.

Staff originally arrived at the Town Moor on Monday, as the first metal fences were delivered and the work to make the Town Moor fit for thousands of NUFC fans.

The four hour event, which will be preceded by an open-top bus parade from St James' Park, will begin at 4 on Saturday and run through until 8pm.

Those in attendance will be able to watch a replay of the final, enjoy live music, see the players get their hands on the trophy, and witness a closing experience created by the club's sponsor Sela.
