We are now less than one month until the 2025 NFL Draft and Josh Edwards of CBSSports.com is out with a 3-round mock. While Edwards does not have any Ohio State players predicted to go in the first round, he has a robust nine Buckeyes going on the second day (rounds 2-3), including seven second-rounders.

The first OSU product that Edwards has coming off the board is offensive tackle Josh Simmons with the first pick of the second round (No. 33 overall) to the Cleveland Browns.

Up next is wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 36 overall.

Then, CBSSports.com prognosticates defensive tackle Tyleik Williams will be selected by the Chicago Bears at No. 39.

Then, offensive lineman Donovan Jackson checks in at No. 45 to the Indianapolis Colts.

He is followed by defensive end Jack Sawyer at No. 54 to the Green Bay Packers.

Close behind him is fellow OSU DE J.T. Tuimoloau at No. 59 to the Baltimore Ravens.

The final second-round projection for OSU per CBSSports.com is running back TreVeyon Henderson at No. 61 to the Washington Commaders.

There are two third-round projections from Edwards pertaining to Buckeye products. They are running back Quinshon Judkins (No. 68 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders) and safety Lathan Ransom (No. 82 overall to the Seattle Seahawks).

Quick takeaways

I would bet heavily Will Howard will be a second-day pick, so that is quite the omission in this mock in my opinion. I also believe Egbuka will be a late first-rounder after running a 4.45 40 at OSU's pro day. Plus, his film is very good and he has impeccable character. Egbuka might be the safest player in this draft. Not that he will be a superstar, but he is highly likely to be a very good WR in the NFL for the next decade.

Some might say putting Simmons in the second round is a snub, but we're talking about the first pick of the second round. And we're talking about a guy coming off a serious knee injury. Do I think Simmons will be a first-round pick? Yes. I'm just saying if he goes No. 33 instead of No. 31 (where I've seen him mocked a lot) it will be far from a surprise.

The 2025 NFL Draft will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay.
