Ever since the two took the field together for the first time in 2021, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have been one of the best receiving duos in the NFL. The duo is here to stay, as both players inked extensions with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The two star wideouts agreed to contracts on the same night, with Chase netting a four-year, $161 million contract with $112 million guaranteed, while Higgins landed a four-year, $115 million deal with the first two years guaranteed. Chase's deal is the largest contract for a non-quarterback in NFL history.
Chase made NFL history this past season, taking home the receiver triple crown - leading the NFL in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17). Chase became the thirteenth player in NFL history to claim the top mark in each category, joining Cooper Kupp (2021) and Steve Smith Sr. (2005) as the only players do to so in the 21st century.
Higgins is no slouch either, he hauled in 911 yards and 10 touchdowns despite making just nine starts this season, and has tallied over 1,000 yards twice.
FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz had dinner with the pair before breaking the news of the two players' extensions, and he has revealed some details, noting how badly the two wanted to bring a Super Bowl to Cincinnati.
"They told me repeatedly at that dinner, we were at Prime 112 in Miami. During the dinner, there were a couple of points where I wanted to know why now, why together?" Schultz revealed on X. "And it was made so clear to me, this was not only about money, but way more important than money.

"It was about the respect and the ability to bring a Super Bowl back to Cincinnati, which has never happened. I saw it firsthand, right? I saw it, how tight they were, and the trust they had in one another."
Chase and Higgins are under contract with quarterback Joe Borrow through at least 2028 (2029 in the case of Chase), giving the Bengals three guaranteed years of a potential championship window to build a winning roster around their offensive big three.
