US health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr announced plans to reshape federal public health agencies yesterday, including cutting 10,000 jobs.

RFK Jr also plans to centralise some functions of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and others under his purview.
