Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, accused of hiring Kewon White, the man who fatally shot rapper Mo3 in 2020, appeared in court Thursday for his bond reduction hearing. Markies "Yella Beezy" Conway, was arrested by Dallas police on March 20 for allegedly paying White to carry out the murder of his fellow rapper for compensation. He was booked into Dallas County Jail, and his bond was set at $2 million on March 24. He then requested a lower bond, CBS News reported.

During Thursday's hearing, Judge Gracie Lewis heard testimony from Yella Beezy's grandmother, Alma Jean Alexander, who said that he could not afford the $2 million bond, Fox 4 reported.

"You're in agreement that your grandson is substantially wealthy, correct," prosecutors asked.

“He might used to be, but if he could make a $2 million bond, he'd be out,” Alexander said.

His bond was reduced to $750,000, and Judge Lewis issued an order prohibiting any contact with victims or witnesses.

"You are to have no contact, direct or indirect, no threatening or harrassment of any victims or witnesses. If it's you or anybody on your behalf, there's going to be a problem. Do you understand that?" she said.
