Lyon 4 – 1 Bayern Munich (Aggregate: 6-1)
Lyon eased past Bayern Munich 4-1 to advance to the UWCL semi-finals.
Bayern pressed hard in the opening exchanges to score the first goal of the tie and set up a potential comeback. However, Lyon exploded out of the gates in the second half, scoring four goals with no reply and putting the match beyond doubt.
Ellie Carpenter started the match for Lyon before being substituted out late in the second half.
Arsenal 3 – 0 Real Madrid (Aggregate: 3-2)
A 15-minute goal-scoring burst at the start of the second half meant that Arsenal overcame a two-goal deficit to win the tie in dramatic circumstances.
Alessia Russo scored a brace on either side of a goal to Mariona Caldentey as Arsenal made use of their opportunities to defeat Real Madrid by the margin required. Chloe Kelly was central to the action, picking up assists for the first two goals.
Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley both played the full match for Arsenal, while Kyra Cooney-Cross was an unused substitute.
Arsenal and Lyon will now face off in the first UWCL semi-final tie.
Chelsea 3 – 0 Manchester City (Aggregate: 3-2)
Chelsea replicated Arsenal’s feats from the previous night, defeating Manchester City 3-0 at home to overturn last week’s defeat and win the tie.
Sandy Baltimore, Nathalie Bjorn and Mayra Ramirez scored first-half goals to give Chelsea a lead in the tie that they would not relinquish. Despite late pressure from City they were not able to get the equalising goal they needed to push the match to extra time.
Mary Fowler started and played the full match for City. Sam Kerr remains unavailable for Chelsea but has a chance of featuring at the semi-finals stage.
