Barry, 21, has since returned to Aston Villa for rehabilitation. He spent time with Stockport County before joining the Tigers.

In this latest update regarding his condition, Selles has said, as per a report by HullLive: “He has had a scan today (Thursday) or yesterday (or Wednesday), and we are waiting for the update. Maybe in one or two weeks, he can be with us, but it’s a kind of injury that we need to take daily, so we will know more in the next 24 hours.”

Hull City are sat in 19th place in the Championship table. They are three points above the drop zone with eight fixtures left.

Hull City injury update regarding Louie Barry

Hull City signed Barry this past winter to boost their attacking department.

The forward has been with Aston Villa since joining them in 2020, having previously been at West Brom and Barcelona.

The youngster has since played once for the first-team of the top flight outfit.

He has been loaned out in the past to Ipswich Town, MK Dons, Swindon Town and Salford City to get some experience under his belt.

Stockport County came calling for him in 2023 and he helped them gain promotion from League Two last year along with Wrexham, Mansfield Town and Crawley Town.

He then linked back up with the Hatters last summer and adapted well to life in League One under Dave Challinor.

Barry fired 15 league goals in 23 matches for the North West outfit before Aston Villa recalled him.

Will Louie Barry play for Hull City again this season?

Time will tell whether he will feature again for Hull City and it will depend on the outcome of his latest scan.

The Tigers drew 1-1 away at West Brom in their last outing before the international break with Abu Kamara getting their goal at The Hawthorns.

Selles’ side have lost only once in their last seven matches but haven’t been able to pull away from the bottom three yet.

They are back in action this weekend with a big home clash against Luton Town.
