Hamza Igamane has earned praise for his instant impression with the Moroccan national team.

And that comes despite struggling for game time after his first call-up - wih the Rangers star earning praise from a Real Madrid superstar.

In the double header, Morocco scraped past Niger with a 2-1 victory to maintain their 100 per cent start to World Cup qualifying - but required a last-gasp winner against the minnows.

However, Igamane would make a cameo off the bench to earn his first international cap.

They would keep their winning ways going as they saw off Tanzania in a 2-0 victory - but boss Walid Regragui would not give another Igamane a cap as he remained on the bench.

But that hasn't stopped praise coming from Madrid star Brahim Diaz being impressed.

The playmaker - who scored from the penalty spot in the win over Tanzania - took to social media to comment on Igamane's Instagram post.

After the Ibrox striker shared images from his international debut, Diaz commented with two first emojis to show his support.

Morocco head coach Regragui has also showed his faith in Igamane - after being impressed by his derby day winner against Celtic last weekend.

After a disappointing break for the frontman, he said: "Hamza Igamane came on at a difficult moment in the game (against Niger).

"It’s his first time with the national team, and he showed great motivation. I really like his mindset. He’s young and has a bright future ahead of him.”
