According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners have joined Liverpool in the bidding war for Hato.

Mikel Arteta successor?

Former Premier League star Dietmar Hamman has stated Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso should replace Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

There is a decision coming for Xabi Alonso and it looks like he wants to stay at Bayer Leverkusen for another year, which I didn’t think was possible just a few months ago.

He has said in the past that he would like to manage one of his former clubs and there is also a heavy link to Bayern Munich as well as Liverpool and Real Madrid, it’s all down to timing.

I think he felt Jurgen Klopp’s footsteps were too big to fill at Liverpool last summer, Arne Slot is doing well now and Carlo Ancelotti can choose when he leaves Real Madrid.

Can I see him at Arsenal? There might be a time when he wants to leave where it will become an option...

Rudiger, on the other hand, was accused of making a throat-slitting gesture to Atleti supporters.

Ceballos, who spent two years at Arsenal before his return to Madrid in 2021, is accused of making an obscene one-armed gesture with a clenched fist.

Arteta backed to win title

Former Arsenal midfielder Anders Limpar reckons it's just a matter of time until Mikel Arteta leads the club to a Premier League title.

He told SveaCasino.se: “The difference between finishing first and second in the Premier League, the margin is so small across a period of nine months. It’s just unfortunate for Arsenal that Manchester City were so dominant before they had their dip.

“Arsenal were lacking one or two results to go and win the Premier League, but Mikel Arteta has turned the club around and done an unbelievable job.

“He has made average players look good and good players look world class. Believe me, Mikel Arteta’s time will come when he is standing there holding the Premier League trophy. He is too good a manager to not win it.”
