The Discovery Museum and the Great North Museum: Hancock will offer activities for fans and families on Saturday, March 29.

The exhibition will feature a 1951-52 shirt from Jackie Milburn, the local hero who helped secure FA Cup victories in 1951, 1952, and 1955.
There will also be memorabilia from cup wins in 1955, 1969, and 2025.

Visitors can participate in a special Newcastle United-themed museum trail, spotting magpies, seahorses, Newcastle United kits, and other surprises.
Both museums will offer free drop-in family crafts for younger visitors keen to join in the celebrations before the parade.

The star exhibit is Jackie Milburn’s football shirt, worn during Newcastle United’s 1951-52 season.
Other objects on display will include a 1969 Fairs Cup final first leg programme, a 2025 Carabao Cup Final replica shirt, and a flag from Wor Flags from a competition for local schoolchildren to design a flag to take to Wembley.

It is open weekdays from 10am to 4pm, and weekends from 11am to 4pm, with free entry for visitors.
The Great North Museum: Hancock, also under the management of North East Museums on behalf of Newcastle University, houses the region's premier collections of archaeology, natural history, geology, and world cultures.
It is a collaboration between Newcastle University, North East Museums, the Natural History Society of Northumbria, and the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle upon Tyne.
