NBA legend and Liverpool supporter LeBron James delivered a sensational blow to a Manchester United supporter when they tried to interview him in the US. James is one of the biggest sports personalities on the planet and he has a deep affection for the Reds.
The 40-year-old's association with Liverpool began in 2011 when he bought a minority stake in the club. Since then, James has been a huge advocate for Liverpool and often posts about the club's successes on his social media channels.
James is not merely an investor in the Reds, he is also a supporter of the club, as was proven this week when he was interviewed by LA Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, who turned up to the interview in a United jacket. Taking one look at the jacket, James did not hold back telling Trudell: "That is a horrible jacket by the way.

"Oh my... Oh my God that is a horrible jacket," before pretending to rip the badge off it. The back and forth was all in good spirits with Trudell posting the footage on his Instagram with the caption: "My Manchester United jacket and I survived this onslaught from a Liverpool part-owner."
When he initially bought a two per cent stake in the Reds, James' investment was valued at $6m (£4.7m). However, he traded this in back in 2022 for a one per cent stake in Fenway Sports Group's (FSG) wider portfolio, which includes the baseball team the Boston Red Sox as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins (ice hockey) and RFK Racing (NASCAR).
Back in February, James attended the LA Lakers' clash with the Indiana Pacers wearing a full Liverpool tracksuit as he showed his support for the club.
Speaking back in March 2022, James declared his love for Liverpool, saying: "Favourite soccer players ...I got a few. First of all, every player on Liverpool. Straight up. Every player on Liverpool."
