Wolves secured an exhilarating 4-2 victory over West Ham United in a thrilling encounter filled with drama and decisive moments.
It took 29 minutes for Wolves to break the deadlock. Jody Craddock delivered a well-placed free-kick, which Carl Cort flicked on to Kenny Miller, who calmly slotted the ball into the net, giving Wolves a 1-0 lead.
West Ham, however, responded quickly. A pinpoint cross from Rebrov found Bobby Zamora at the far post, and the striker fired past Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray to level the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Wolves regained the lead when Seol delivered an accurate ball into the box. Kenny Miller, unmarked, volleyed past Jimmy Walker, securing his second goal of the game and restoring Wolves’ advantage at 2-1.
The Hammers refused to back down. Marlon Harewood showed great determination as he weaved through the Wolves defense before cutting back a perfect pass to Bobby Zamora for a simple tap-in. West Ham equalized yet again, making it 2-2.
At this stage, West Ham began applying pressure, creating several chances to take the lead. However, it was Wolves who found the breakthrough. A poor defensive clearance by Luke Chadwick and Malky Mackay allowed Paul Ince to pounce on the loose ball at the edge of the area. The Wolves captain made no mistake, firing home to make it 3-2.
Moments later, Wolves extended their lead further. Seol, who was instrumental throughout the game, delivered a precise low cross to Carl Cort, who stabbed it into the net, sealing the victory at 4-2.
With time running out, neither side could produce any further significant chances. Wolves held on for an important win, sending their fans home delighted.

Wolves Edge West Ham in a Hard-Fought 2-1 Win
Wolves delivered a determined performance to secure a 2-1 victory against West Ham United, with Paul Birch and Steve Bull providing the crucial goals in an action-packed encounter.
Match Report:
Wolves started the game with real purpose, creating early opportunities and even appealing for a penalty, which the referee dismissed. Their tenacity in attack set the tone for what would be a thrilling battle.
As the game approached halftime, Wolves found the breakthrough. Steve Bull caused chaos in West Ham’s penalty area, forcing the defense into a rushed clearance. The ball fell to Paul Birch, making his debut just 24 hours after signing from Aston Villa. Birch struck a powerful shot that sailed past West Ham goalkeeper Miklosko, giving Wolves a 1-0 advantage right before the break.
Early in the second half, Wolves doubled their lead. A careless back pass from Ian Bishop was intercepted by Andy Mutch, who set up his strike partner, Steve Bull. Bull made no mistake, rifling his shot into the net to put Wolves 2-0 up and firmly in control of the match.
West Ham, however, fought back. Andy Thompson was forced to concede a corner after diverting a dangerous cross from Kevin Keen. Wolves went behind to one of the most bizarre goals seen when Geoff Pike hit his shot saved by Paul Bradshaw coming off the bar with back spin hit the ground into the back of the net quoted by one commentator at the time saying it could be a goal of the season contender and this gave West Ham United the lead 1-0.
Wolves almost got an equaliser from Kenny Hibbitt which was pushed away by Mervyn Day in the goal for a corner.
Norman Bell the Wolves striker almost got a goal, but it just went narrowly wide of the post after been setup by Alan Sunderland.
West Ham United doubled their lead in the game when Geoff Pike passed the ball with Trevor Brooking miss kicked his shot to fool the Wolves defenders only for Pop Robson to be there at the right time with an open goal to make it 2-0.
Wolves did manage to get a goal just before half time from a West Ham United throw in got the ball back with Geoff Palmer producing a brilliant cross into the box for John Richards to head home for his 100th league goal in his career to halve the deficit to make it 2-1 at half time.
Wolves managed to get an equaliser late in the game from Kenny Hibbitt who fired his shot from range after mistakes in the West Ham United backline to make it 2-2 and that is how it finished.
