After his six-year spell at Manchester United came to an end in 2022, Paul Pogba's £2.9million mansion was available. By the time the summer transfer window closed, it had a new tenant.

Pogba left United at the end of his contract and re-joined Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the 2021/22 season. Antony, who joined the club for £86million from Ajax in the same summer, moved into the midfielder's old house.

Antony revealed he had relocated into the five-bedroom mansion, situated in Hale Barns, Cheshire. Alongside a diamond-encrusted staircase, the mansion also had a personalised pool table with Pogba's initials engraved on it.

"It'll need to change. It was Pogba's house, there's the P of his staff on the table," he told ESPN Brazil in 2022. "Now I'm going to start changing, put Antony Santos 'AS."

However, things haven't gone to plan for Antony at United. Since moving to England, the 25-year-old has scored just 12 goals and assisted a further five in 96, becoming a bit-part player under Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

The Brazilian joined Real Betis on loan in January and has rediscovered the form of his Ajax days. In 11 games, the forward has become a fan favourite with eight goal contributions across all competitions.

United are looking to sell a number of players in the summer transfer window and The Manchester Evening News understands Antony is one player who could move on. A permanent move is favoured by United with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho also on the transfer list.

Recently, Antony has opened up about his move to United and his gratitude for them investing in him three years ago. "If they pay that kind of money for you, it's because you have talent and quality," he told DAZN. "Wherever I go, I'll always speak highly of United.

"I'm very grateful to the club and to Erik ten Hag for what we experienced together, for the titles, and for everything I've learned. I had difficult times there, but also very good ones. I think it prepared me to be here today, enjoying myself. My mind is here, and I'm very happy."

On his move to Betis, he said: "I found myself, I needed to find myself and be happy. I needed my family to be happy too. Every day that goes by I see that it was the best decision I could have made. I'm enjoying the city, the club and everything.

"It reminds me a lot of Brazil because of the sun, the food, the people are also very happy. All of that is important for someone like me who is used to it."

A permanent move away from United in the summer transfer window would mean Pogba's former home would be back on the market for a new owner just three years after the Brazilian moved in.
