Transfer news LIVE!

Arsenal’s hunt for a striker continues to dominate the transfer headlines as they prepare to announce Andrea Berta as their new sporting director. The Gunners appear to be trying to steal a march on their rivals by getting some high-profile deals done ahead of the early summer window, with the likes of Nico Williams, Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres all still being heavily linked. New reports suggest that Arsenal may now have made Hugo Ekitike their main alternative to Alexander Isak.

There has been a new twist on the Francisco Trincao to Manchester United front, with Kobbie Mainoo’s Old Trafford future still potentially in real doubt as the club also apparently look at the likes of future superstars Tyler Dibling and Chris Rigg, among other targets. Liverpool are still reeling from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s agreement with Real Madrid and are said to be talking to Jeremie Frimpong about becoming his replacement, with positive news from Milos Kerkez amid a potential breakthrough over Mohamed Salah’s contract.

Chelsea may also move for either Sesko or Liam Delap, while Tottenham want Dibling and are dealing with strong Atletico Madrid interest in Cristian Romero. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Liverpool handed new Milos Kerkez boost

Liverpool appear to have been handed a new boost in their long-running pursuit of Milos Kerkez.

Finding a new right-back to succeed the Real Madrid-bound Trent Alexander-Arnold looks to be the top transfer priority at Anfield at the moment, with talks said to be ongoing over Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.

But the left side of defence also needs attention, with Kerkez long mentioned as the potential replacement for Andy Robertson amid his fine form for high-flying Bournemouth.

And while the 21-year-old - a friend and international team-mate of Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai with Hungary - is still focused on the Cherries ahead of their huge FA Cup quarter-final tie with Manchester City on Sunday, he seems open to a potential high-profile switch in the summer.

“As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams,” Kerkez told The Athletic.

“These are the things that my agent is on. My dad is on. It is not something that they occupy me with because the season is still going, so there’s no point to talk about anything.

“There’s games left, the FA Cup is important for us — these are big things.

“And then, like I say, when someone comes (in for you) you never know what’s going to happen or where you’re going to end up. In the summer, we will see what happens.”
