'Incredible' player will now not be seen in a Man City shirt for the rest of the season - report

One particular player will not be seen in a Manchester City shirt between now and the end of the season it seems.

Pep Guardiola clearly realises that he needs to oversee a big squad revamp at Manchester City in the summer.

As many as eight players could leave Man City, and many new faces are expected to arrive at The Etihad.

There will undoubtedly be some serious money spent to bring numerous top-class stars to the club in the summer transfer window, with players like Trincao believed to be on Man City’s radar.

The problem with that approach is that some of the club’s hugely talented young players may well not get a look in under Pep Guardiola next season now.

And the Man City manager is clearly prepared to bide his time with one specific young starlet.

Bizarre claim about Manchester City star Claudio Echeverri emerges

Manchester City’s official website described Claudio Echeverri as ‘prodigiously talented’.

He’s also been labelled as an ‘incredible’ talent by TNT Sports, and they’re bang on the money there.

Fans were delighted when it was claimed that Claudio Echeverri wouldn’t be leaving Manchester City to join Lazio.

However, there’s some bad news for City supporters to digest today.

According to a report from TyC Sports, Echeverri is all set to join Girona in the summer on a season-long loan deal.

That in itself isn’t much of a shock.

However, they also claim that Pep Guardiola ‘will not use him’ for the rest of the season now.

It’s unclear why that would be the case. Perhaps to guard against him picking up an unnecessary injury? Injuries can happen in training though, so the answer to why he won’t feature for Man City this season remains a mystery.

‘Spicy’ Man City player Claudio Echeverri models himself on

Big things are expected of the 19-year-old at The Etihad.

He is a play-making number 10 by trade, but he can operate on either wing as well.

So which player does he model himself on?

He responded when asked about his City teammates Jeremy Doku and Savinho, as quoted by City’s official website:

“Yes, of course, I’ve watched them play.”

“I’m a big fan of Doku. As I said, I see myself in them. They’re very dynamic players, as we say in Argentina, “very spicy” with the ball.“

Doku is not someone many Manchester City fans would have thought Claudio Echeverri would want to emulate. The Belgian is all about pace and power whilst the Argentine is far more technically gifted.

It remains to be seen whether the 19-year-old goes on to make a big impact at City over the next few years.
