HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) In the context of the Convention Cuba Salud 2025, scheduled to be held on April 21 to 25, Havana will host the National Congress “Una Sola Salud” (One Health), intended to review the progress achieved by and strengthen the health-animal care-ecosystem links.
The event is expected to gather more than 200 delegates, including representatives from various Cuban ministries and state bodies and international leaders involved in this government project, as well as 12 experts, and representatives of various United Nations agencies, who will discuss the results of legislation such as the Acts on Animal Welfare and on Health and topics related to zoonosis, food safety, antimicrobial resistance, integrated surveillance, professional training, and communication.
“Una Sola Salud” will be followed by an International Workshop on April 28 to 30 designed to evaluate the country's experiences with this approach.
