Aid Workers, Civilians Targeted in Latest Gaza Strikes: UN

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that eight more aid workers were killed in Gaza over the past week, bringing the total number of humanitarian personnel killed since Israel launched its military campaign in October 2023 to 399.

According to OCHA’s latest situation report, the Israeli military displaced 142,000 Palestinians from their homes and temporary shelters between March 18 and 23.

Humanitarian operations inside Gaza have been severely hampered, with Israel blocking all aid shipments into the territory for more than three weeks. Additionally, Israeli forces have denied most requests from aid organizations to coordinate movements within the Strip.

Between March 18 and 25, Israeli attacks killed 792 Palestinians and injured another 1,633, OCHA reported, further exacerbating the crisis in the war-torn enclave.

More than 50,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 113,900 injured in a brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 2023.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
