Chelsea have taken a firm decision about the future of their star winger ahead of summer window. The player is currently at West London on loan but finds his future uncertain beyond this summer.
The star in question here is Jadon Sancho who joined the Blues on loan in summer 2024. He had a fall-out with then Man United boss Erik Ten Hag which resulted in him spending most of the first half of 2023/24 season on bench.
Sancho was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January 2024. He was very good in the second half of 2023/24 season. But, this was not enough to pave his path back into the United lineup. As a result, the Red Devils had him on sale in summer 2024.
United were unable to find a permanent solution for Sancho. Hence, they opted to send him on loan to Chelsea. Sancho had an amazing start to his career in West London but once again failed to capitalize which has raised questions about his future.
Chelsea have plan ready for Jadon Sancho
The Blues have obligation to buy Sancho at the end of this season. They will be forced to pay United £25 million to turn the move permanent. But, they also have another clause in which they can send Sancho back to United by paying £5 million as penalty fee.
According to Football Insider, the Blues have decided to trigger the option to buy Sancho. However, they have no plans to keep the player in their squad. They will be keen to offload him in summer quickly after signing him.

This suggests that Sancho’s career in Chelsea’s shirt is very likely to end this season. The player is heavily linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund who are in need to sign new wingers. The Blues can turn this into a swap deal to land their long-term target Jamie Gittens.
