Coby White on thrilling win vs. Lakers: 'I’ll remember this for the rest of my life'

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White called the 119-117 win against the Los Angeles Lakers "one of the best games" he's ever been a part of.

The Chicago Bulls have been on a hot streak, winning 9 of their last 11 games. However, their momentum seemed to be coming to an end against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, as they trailed by 20 points in the fourth quarter.

But the Bulls refused to back down. With a relentless effort, they cut the deficit to just five points with 12 seconds remaining. In a stunning sequence of events, they managed to drain three three-pointers, capped off by Josh Giddey’s incredible half-court buzzer-beater to seal a 119-117 victory.

After the game, Coby White, who scored 26 points in this game, called it one of the most memorable games of his career.

"The probability of us winning that game was probably very low, but we defied the odds," White told CHGO Sports. "I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life."

"Definitely the most fun. Definitely the most entertaining. Definitely a big win," he added.

White has been outstanding since the All-Star break, averaging 26.2 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.2 rebounds over the last 18 games.

With their recent surge, the Bulls now sit ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 32-40 record, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
