Chelsea supporters will be anxious to hear the latest injury update that has emerged on Cole Palmer.
Prior to the international break, Cole Palmer was absent for Chelsea in their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League with an injury.
It means that the Blues attacking midfielder hasn’t played football since 13 March against Copenhagen because he was forced to pull out of Thomas Tuchel’s first-ever England squad.
Palmer had muscle fatigue in his hamstring when Chelsea beat Copenhagen to reach the Conference League quarter-finals in mid-March.
In just six days time, Chelsea host London rivals Tottenham in an important Premier League fixture. Will the Blues have their star man available, though?

Cole Palmer is back in training on Friday
It was previously reported that Palmer hasn’t trained with Chelsea throughout the entire international break and hasn’t been on the training pitches since sustaining his injury problem.
Thankfully, there’s now some more positive news on the left-footed playmaker.

All eyes will be on whether or not Palmer can be available for the Spurs showdown next week. Regardless, it sounds like there are no long-term issues and he should be available for an important final few months of the 2024/25 season.

Cole Palmer loves playing Tottenham
Since he joined Chelsea, Palmer has a 100 per cent win ratio against Spurs and usually torments them.

Cole Palmer’s record at Chelsea vs Tottenham via Transfermarkt
Earlier in the season, Palmer scored twice during the Blues’ dramatic 4-3 away victory against Spurs. It’s fair to say that Enzo Maresca’s side don’t go into the upcoming match up in the same kind of positive form, though.
If Spurs show up at Stamford Bridge and see Palmer’s name missing from the opposition team sheet, it’s going to naturally give them a lift. While he’s in a drought in front of goal right now, he’s still at the heart of anything Chelsea do well as an attacking threat.
Palmer is still in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Season despite his drop off in recent months.
