Pittsburgh Steelers to host likely first round quarterback for visit

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host quarterback Jaxson Dart for a pre-draft visit, according to Mike DeFabo of the Athletic. Dart will work out on Friday at Ole Miss’s pro day, where he plans to throw for teams in attendance.

While it is not confirmed just yet, it is expected that head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan will be there.

Multiple mock drafts and gurus have connected the Steelers to Dart in recent weeks. Once thought to be a mid-round pick, Dart has steadily climbed boards and is now firmly set to be in a first rounder or early second pick.

Dart’s college career saw him throw for over 7000 yards, 52 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions over his stops with Ole Miss and USC. His moxie instantly earned him some fans around the league, too.

Dart shined with the Ole Miss Rebels this year, throwing for over 4000 yards and leading Ole Miss to a near playoff berth. But how early will Dart go? That question remains, and if the Steelers like him enough, they might have a decision to make on the first day of the NFL Draft.
