China and the Republic of Congo have always understood, trusted and supported each other, and the relations between the two countries have become a model of China-Africa solidarity and cooperation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with his counterpart of the Republic of Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso in Beijing.
The relations between the two countries have maintained a strong momentum of development, bringing tangible benefits to the people of the two countries and playing an important role in the development and prosperity of Africa, said Wang.
Noting that China is a great country, Gakosso said that China is a sincere friend and partner of the Republic of Congo and all African countries. The Republic of Congo is willing to work closely with China to promote more achievements in China-Africa cooperation, he added.
