Tens of thousands of Newcastle United supporters will attend the club’s Carabao Cup celebrations.
It’s less than 24 hours until the city of Newcastle comes together as one to celebrate its proud football club’s success.
Just under a fortnight ago, Eddie Howe and his players made history by becoming the first Newcastle United team to win a trophy since 1969 after beating Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley. It also marked the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.
Howe’s squad have just returned from Dubai, while those not present were on international duty with their respective nations. Saturday is the first opportunity to have one big get-together, and it promises to be a very special day.
Tens of thousands of supporters will line the streets to witness the team’s open-top parade before the day continues at a ticketed event on the Town Moor. Everyone who registered their interest in attending the open-air event have been sent a ticket via email.
Newcastle United confirm event timeline
Newcastle have announced the timings, with supporters advised to arrive at the Town Moor from 1:30pm onwards. A bus parade will then start at St James’ Park at 4:30pm. The event ends at 7:30pm following a ‘spectacular surprise’ from the Magpies’ main sponsors Sela.
