Is it too soon to start counting down the days until Christmas? Here, everything we know about the Buffalo Bills Hallmark movie!
What is ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ about?
While details about the movie’s plot and cast have yet to be revealed, the NFL has shared that the entirety of the film will be shot around the Buffalo area, including Highmark Stadium, where the Bills play. Production on the film is set to begin later in 2025.
“The incredible success of last year’s partnership with the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs far exceeded our expectations,” said Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott in a statement per NFL. “We are thrilled to team up with the Bills this year for a new holiday movie filled with heart, family and the classic Hallmark storytelling that our fans know and love, all set against the special community the Bills franchise has nurtured throughout its storied history.”
A Bills player shares a special message about the film
The Bills’s very own Damar Hamlin shared a personal message announcing the news. “What’s up, everybody? Good morning. It’s Damar Hamlin here from the Buffalo Bills with an early Christmas present. We have big news today. Hallmark Channel and the NFL have selected the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 Countdown to Christmas movie draft,” he states in the video posted on social media.
“Stay tuned this holiday season for the all-new Hallmark Channel movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. We’re so excited to celebrate our team, our fans, and a shout-out to Bills mafia and our shared love for football and Hallmark Christmas movies. Go Bills! Let’s go.”
What was Hallmark’s Chiefs movie like?
To celebrate the 2024 holiday season, Hallmark teamed up with the NFL for the first time with their filmHoliday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Starring Hunter King and Hallmark hunk Tyler Hynes, the movie told a heartwarming love story of a die-hard Chiefs fan, Alana, who’s hoping to secure the title of “Fan of the Year.” Meanwhile, Hynes starred as the Director of Fan Engagement who must determine whether she and her family are deserving. As the two spend time with one another and get to know each other, sparks fly against the backdrop of Arrowhead Stadium.
Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story featured a handful of familiar faces a part of the Chiefs family, including Donna Kelce, mother to the Chiefs’ own Travis Kelce, as well as head coach Andy Reid and players like Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman Jr., Clyde Edwards-Helaire and George Karlaftis.
Will any real Bills players be in the movie?
While we don’t currently have any word on which Bills players might be making appearances in Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, we’ll be happy to see any of them shine on the Hallmark screen!
