Arsenal are keen to sign 23 year old Spanish star this summer. The players is said to be open to moving to North London. Lastly, he also has interest from Barcelona who are keen to improve their squad in summer.

Gunners are heading for a busy summer window where Mikel Areta wants new signings in almost all areas. The North London club will have attack as the top priority followed by midfield. In addition, there also needs attention in the defence due to some reasons.

Aaron Ramsdale left the club last summer after losing his starting spot to David Raya. Gunners then tried to sign Joan Garcia but the deal collapsed. This resulted in them signing Norberto Neto on loan. However, Neto is expected to leave in summer which will need proper replacement.

Arsenal keen to sign Joan Garcia this summer

Gunners are still keen to sign Joan Garcia this summer. David Ornstein has confirmed their interest while answering a question in the q&a session for The Athletic. He also wrote about the player’s view on the potential deal.

“Yes, Arsenal have done lot of work on Joan Garcia because Mikel Arteta wants him as number two for David Raya and from what we hear Joan Garcia would be open to joining. But, I don’t know of anything being closed and until that happens. It’s still open” – Ornstein about Arsenal’s interest in Joan Garcia.

Gunners tried to sign Garcia last summer but the deal failed. Espanyol were demanding his €30 million release clause to be paid fully. They are expected to stay firm on their stance this summer as well and hence the North London club will have to be prepared to splash the cash.

Besides Garcia, the North London club also has interest in two more Spanish stars. They have Martin Zubimendi and Nico Williams on their radar. Zubimendi has €60 million release clause whereas Williams has €58 million release clause.
