Martin Odegaard made three crucial assists for as Norway in World Cup qualifying game against Israel. The Arsenal star is one of the best players in Europe from the past two-three seasons.

Norway won the match 4-2 over Israel. In their pervious fixture they beat Moldova 5-0, that began their qualifying campaign.

The Norwegian midfielder controlled the game. He also linked up with Erling Haaland to finish off a great performance.

Norway are sitting on top of Group I after a perfect start in qualifying. But there are tougher tests ahead this season.

They will host Italy in June. And then they will travel to Estonia three days later. Although, Italy will be playing the qualifiers now onwards due to the Nations League participations.

Norway’s campaign

Norway is looking to secure a World Cup return that has been long overdue. The increased number of spots up to 48 teams gives the Scandinavian nation hope. Many would say it is their most talented generation of players.

With players like Odegaard and Erling Haaland, are at their peak. And young players Antonio Nusa and Oscar Bobb will play on the biggest stage in sport.

They opened up their qualifying run at the weekend with a 5-0 victory over Moldova. They were headed to Hungary on Tuesday night to face Israel.

Italy is the projected to be the winner of Group I. Norway and Israel are the teams to battle for second. However, Odegaard’s men made a big step towards the World Cup with a 4-2 victory in Israel.

With Italy not yet starting their World Cup qualification, Norway has the early lead and 100% in qualifying. The Norwegian captain didn’t score, but did finish with three assists.
