City have no fresh injury concerns following the interntaional break. Ederson is back in training and in contention to start, whilst Josko Gvardiol looks to have shaken off the hamstring problem that saw him substituted for Croatia on Sunday evening. Rodri, Nathan Ake, John Stones and Manuel Akanji remain sidelined.
The Seagulls are in fine form going into the game, with six wins from their last matches, and manager Pep Guardiola was effusive in his praise of the club.
“That proves how good they are,” Guardiola said at Friday's press conference.
“We see it every week in the Premier League and they prove again in the FA Cup. That’s good.
“Always I remember when I was at Barcelona and Bayern [Munich] that in England every team can beat every team.
“Liverpool have done amazing in the Premier League but for the rest of the teams, anything can happen.”
“They have a specific way to play and it works,” he said. “They have had a really good season so far and they have quality players and the ideas that they have.
“It would be boring if every team played in the same way in all the leagues. They have a specific way and they do it really well.
“We have to read the game. They were our first defeat in the Premier League this season.”
City lost 2-1 on their last visit to The Vitality Stadium, with Josko Gvardiol scoring a late consolation for the Blues. Overall City have won 19 of the 22 games played against the Cherries, with 2 draws and one defeat.
