Leeds United sensation scores stunning 25-yard goal vs Man Utd at Thorp Arch

Leeds United’s U21s were pegged back by Manchester United at Thorp Arch on Friday afternoon, seeing their two goal lead vanish in four second half minutes.

The Whites’ preparations at Thorp Arch continue ahead of Saturday afternoon’s home clash against Swansea City, with Daniel Farke eyeing a crucial home win.

Meanwhile across the training pitches in Wetherby, Leeds’ U21s played host to a PL2 fixture against bitter rivals Manchester United.

Leeds had the better of the first half against their opponents, and got their reward when captain Alfie Cresswell fired the Whites into the lead.

Picking up the ball around 25 yards from goal, Cresswell wrapped his foot around the ball for what appeared to be a cross into the path of Harry Gray, but struck the ball so well it actually flew into the top corner, off the post and over the line.

The hosts then doubled their lead when a low cross from Josh McDonald was met at the near post by Gray, who lifted a smart finish over the Man United stopper and into the top corner.
